Swim and Dive

Both the boys and the girls swim and dive teams had some tremendous seasons this year. Perhaps the biggest highlights of both of these teams were their showings at the section swim finals.

The boys team had three swimmers finish within the top ten at section finals, while two other swimmers finished within the top twenty.

The girls medley relay team finished fourth at the section finals, 2 seconds off from qualifying for state.

Both teams have shown lots of potential to be even better next year, with most swimmers from both teams returning. We’ll have to see if the teams will be able to qualify for state next year.

Junior Ethan Elumba also received the state’s ExCEL award, recognizing students that epitomize the Triple-A philosophy. You can read more about it in the related story below.
