“If I have one thing to say to incoming freshmen, it’s that you should get involved,” Silas said, after telling me that all of his favorite high school memories stem from the friendships he has made playing football, running track, and being in choir. “Those will be the people I will keep in touch with after high school and those will be the memories I cherish.”
