If you live anywhere near the District 196 area you are most likely aware of the Apple Valley-Eastview rivalry. So, it is always a big deal when our schools face each other, and the excitement of seeing who comes away with a victory is second to none. That’s why, when the varsity girl’s soccer team faced Eastview this fall, and won, they had a lot to be happy about–and brag about. “During my senior [soccer] season we beat Eastview in one of the final games of our league play off of a header goal from Olivia Feilen. It was super exciting to beat them because we always have beef with them and we don’t usually win, so it was nice to come out on top.” As a member of the varsity girls soccer team myself, it is safe to say that this is a memory I will be thinking about for a very long time.
