1.The Boxcar Children, by Gertrude Chandler Warner

“ These were some of the first chapter books I read as a child and I remember loving the adventurous stories!”

2.The Notebook, by Nicholas Sparks

“I love romantic and emotional stories, and this is a funny memory, but I can vividly remember reading this book on a vacation to Mexico and sitting on a beach just crying because it was such a tearjerker!”

3.Inferno, by Dan Brown

“ I love the mysteries that Dan Brown writes because I enjoy trying to ‘figure out the puzzle,’ and he always puts some good plot twists in his books. This book is especially special to me because my husband and I both purposely read it on our Italian honeymoon since it takes place in Italy and we got to visit many of the sights that were described.”

4.Little House on the Prairie, by Laura Ingalls Wilder

“I’m a fan of historical fiction because it transports the reader to another time and place, and this was a favorite of mine from childhood.”

5.The Hunger Games, by Suzanne Collins

“This book is one of a few that I’ve read where I literally had a hard time putting it down. The descriptions, ease of writing, and cliffhangers at the end of most chapters had me reading the book in the span of a weekend! The story felt imaginative, futuristic, and different than anything I had read before.”
