The 2015-16 Gymnastics season will begin at home with a meet vs. Eastview on Monday, December 15th. With a new head coach, Liz Carlson, along with assistant coaches, Danielle LaFrance, Monique Imsande and Ben Stock, the Eagle gymnasts are excited for the new season.

The team is led by captains Grace Roepke, Sidney Bethke and Linnea Carlson. What the team lacks in numbers, they make up in experience. Their theme for this year is “Don’t Wish for it–work for it”.

“As captains, we wanted to create a motivating quote that is unique, and the whole team is positive and hardworking,” states Roepke.

New head coach Liz Carlson has a lot of knowledge of gymnastics as a state competitor in high school. Carlson is ready to share her knowledge and techniques with others. Last year, Carlson volunteered many hours coaching and mentoring the Eagle gymnastics team.

Some things to look forward to this season are the invitationals against Bloomington Kennedy, as well as the Prior Lake Christmas Invite, which has many holiday themed activities and competitions.

This year looks like a fun and exciting season for the Eagle gymnasts. Make sure you go and support them at their upcoming competitions!
